Terms of Service

1. What Stitchify is
Stitchify converts images and hand-drawn designs into embroidery machine files (DST, PES, JEF, VP3, EXP) via an AI-assisted pipeline and a browser-based digitizing editor ("Studio"). This is a conversion and editing tool — we don't manufacture, ship, or embroider anything ourselves.
2. Accounts
You need an account to generate, edit, or export designs. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Stitchify.
3. Credits, billing, and refunds
Stitchify runs on a credit system: uploading and previewing a design is free; a credit is spent when you download an embroidery file. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Unlimited) grant a monthly credit allowance and unused credits roll over — they don't expire at the end of a billing period.
All payments are processed by Paddle.com, acting as Merchant of Record. Your card details are handled entirely by Paddle and never touch Stitchify's servers. Subscription billing, invoices, tax handling (VAT/sales tax), and payment disputes are governed by Paddle's buyer terms. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refund requests are handled case-by-case — contact support with your order details. Credits already spent on a completed download are generally non-refundable since the file has already been generated and delivered.
4. Your content and designs
You retain ownership of images you upload and designs you create. By uploading content, you grant Stitchify a limited license to process it (image analysis, AI generation, vectorization, digitizing) solely to provide the service back to you. We don't use your uploaded images or designs to train AI models, and we don't sell your content.
You're responsible for having the right to use any image you upload. Don't upload content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark (for example, digitizing a brand logo you don't have permission to reproduce) — that's between you and the rights holder, not something Stitchify screens for automatically.
5. Embroidery output accuracy
Digitizing is an approximation: stitch count, thread color matching (especially for DST, which has no color storage at all — see STUDIO_LIMITATIONS.md), and real-world stitch-out results depend on your fabric, hooping, thread, and machine. Always run a test stitch on scrap fabric before production runs. Stitchify doesn't guarantee a specific stitch-out result on your specific machine.
6. Acceptable use
Don't: attempt to break rate limits or upload/file-size restrictions, upload malware or attempt to exploit the service, resell raw access to the API without authorization, or use the service to generate content that's illegal, hateful, or infringing.
7. Service availability
Stitchify is provided on an "as-is, as-available" basis. AI generation and digitizing depend on third-party infrastructure (image generation providers, the digitizing worker) that can be temporarily unavailable. We'll do our best to keep the service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stitchify is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including wasted fabric, thread, or machine time from a design that didn't stitch out as expected). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You can stop using Stitchify and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abusive use of shared infrastructure (the AI pipeline and digitizing worker are rate-limited specifically to keep the service usable for everyone).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
